Local solutions to local challenges

The East Gippsland Community Foundation (EGCF) is a philanthropic trust that was created for the people of East Gippsland. It exists to make a positive and lasting difference to the people of the region, as they recover from the devastating 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.

The foundation is newly-formed (established in 2021), and aims to support and strengthen the community, by – amongst other things – promoting well-being, resilience and involvement in the community. Its mission is to ensure stronger and more resilient communities that are equitable, connected, prepared and sustainable.

The Foundation provides small but vital grants to community organisations across East Gippsland.
